Digital Citizenship

What is Digital Citizenship?

Digital Citizenship refers to the responsible, safe, and productive use of online tools. Because schools are increasingly requiring students to use online tools to complete classroom assignments, it is important to also teach digital citizenship concepts and skills. These concepts and skills include appropriate online behavior while using discussion boards and online forums. Netiquette skills (see next page) are also covered when teaching digital citizenship responsibilities.
